“The Territory” Film Screening

THE TERRITORY is an engrossing dive into the tireless fight of the Indigenous Uru-eu-wau-wau people against the encroaching deforestation brought by farmers and illegal settlers in the Brazilian Amazon. A captivating watch partially shot by the Uru-eu-wau-wau people themselves and produced by Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan, Requiem for a Dream). The film contextualizes the global problem, by immersing us in the perspectives of multiple stakeholders, showing how people risk their lives to set up their own news team to expose the truth and save their land and livelihoods.

Join us for the screening of this powerful film, followed by a panel discussion led by Cara Romero (Chemehuevi), Co-Director of Bioneers Indigeneity Program and special guests, TBA.
